Wednesday 26 March 2025 3RD have been learning about the human skeleton. 3RD have been learning about the human skeleton and the different names of the bones. Today we had to create our own human skeleton and then together we had to label the bones.

Wednesday 26 March 2025 Year 5 MHST Visit Year 5 had a visit from the MHST team who talked about the importance of our senses. We discussed how important it is to tune in to each individual sense to calm our bodies. The children learnt new techniques to keep calm such as performing a body scan to understand how our bodies are feeling.

Friday 21 March 2025 KS2 Athletics Event On Monday, 32 children competed in a highly competitive sports event against other local primary schools at the University of Hull. Year 5 and 6 placed 6th whilst Year 3 and 4 came 5th! We were so proud of Biggin Hill. Well done to all involved🏃🏅

Thursday 20 March 2025 Year 1 Showcase Event We hope you enjoyed the Year 1 Showcase event held this past Wednesday! The children had a fantastic time sharing the exciting things they’ve learned in subjects like Geography, Art, Computing, and Design Technology. It was a wonderful opportunity for them to demonstrate their hard work and creativity. A huge thank you to all the parents for their continued support. Your involvement makes these events even more special and memorable for the children. We look forward to more opportunities to celebrate their achievements in the future!

Wednesday 19 March 2025 5MC Visit to London 5MC had an amazing time in London! They had lunch on the boat cruise and saw lots of sights including Trafalgar Square, The Royal Horse Guard, Downing Street , Buckingham Palace and the Natural History Museum.

Friday 14 March 2025 KS2 Library Opening On World Book Day we opened our new KS2 Library. We were very fortunate, as some of the invited characters were available, to snip the ribbon and open the facility for the pupils of Biggin Hill. These personalities are closely related to the Biggin Hill School Council. We were honored to have these famous personalities open the library, who included Sherlock Holmes, Elsa, Wednesday, Slappy and our, very own royal – Princess Fiona. Other notable VIPs were Mrs Emerson and Mr Clark of Horizon fame.

Friday 14 March 2025 5RL Visit to London 5RL had had an amazing time in London yesterday. They did lots of sight seeing, enjoyed the Natural History Museum and had a special treat taking a photo at platform 9 3/4! What a day!

Thursday 13 March 2025 Headteacher's Award 13.03.25 Well done to all of the children in Phase 2 & Phase 3 that received the headteacher's award today. Also, a huge well done to our year 5 & 6 children that have completed their WRAP course and received their certificate today.

Wednesday 12 March 2025 Get Glowing Last week, 8 children from Year 5 and 6 took part in the Get Glowing event at Winifred Holtby. Together with other schools, the children completed sports and games in the dark hall lit up by fluorescent colours! The children had lots of fun and received a certificate in today's assembly for their efforts. Well done Biggin!

Friday 7 March 2025 Phase 1 Author Visit Phase 1 had a great time with our visiting Author Duncan Beedie. We loved listening to his story and having a go at drawing our own Heavy Metal Badger!

Friday 7 March 2025 5SR Visit to London 5SR had a fab time in London. They enjoyed their lunch on the river tour boat and visiting the horse guards parade, Buckingham Palace and exploring the Natural History Museum.

Friday 7 March 2025 6OB PE Some of the children in 6OB led the rest of the class in warm-up activities before we started the PE lesson. Each group participated in devising their own activity. They gave each activity a name and made up rules to follow. They then practised their activity and demonstrated it to the rest of the class.
