Active Maths For KS1 – Wednesday 20th January 1.15pm
Maths activities for students who are in KS 1, where they will be able to take part either from home or in the classroom. Children will need a small amount space as well as something to write with. This session will last 30 minutes.
Active Maths For KS2 Years 3/4 – Wednesday 27th January 1.15pm
Maths activities for students who are in Years 3 or 4, which they will be able to take part either from home or in the classroom. Children will need a small amount space as well as something to write with. This session will last 30 minutes.
PSHE – Years 5/6 – Mental Health Awareness, Resilience, and Attitude – Every Friday Starting Fri 22nd 1.15pm
This is a 6 week program, lockdown dependant the last sessions post half term could be delivered in school or continue virtually. Each session will last roughly 45 minutes. It will explore the topic of mental health, resilience and attitude in an enjoyable way, with a sports theme and activities for students to complete during and after. Students can take part either from home or from the classroom at school.
Premier League Reading Stars – 10 Week program Year 5/6.
One of the Tigers Trusts and Premier Leagues flagship programs aimed at improving the reading attainment of students in year 5 or 6. On average pupils who take part in the program make 6 months progress during the 10 weeks. This is a targeted program for those who need additional support and we are now offering it virtually, either for students in school or at home. If you are interested the times can be worked around your individual school, to start in lockdown and either continue virtually or be picked up once the locked ends.
PSHE – Years 3/4 – Inclusion, Diversity and Attitude – Every Tuesday Starting Tuesday 19th 1.15pm
A 6 week program, which can be finished virtually or picked up once schools re-open, covering a range of topics in PSHE. Each session will last roughly 45 minutes and give students the chance to explore the topics from a sporting view point. Students who are learning from home or the classroom can take part.
Social Action – Years 5/6 – Physical Health and Wellbeing
This program will aim at the children in school engaging their classmates & schoolmates in challenges to complete whilst at home or in school, either on their own or with the support of people at home with them. This program can be worked around your school day and will take 1 whole afternoon to complete.
The Importance of Reading – Every Monday starting Mon 18th January 1.15pm
Each week a different member of the Primary Stars team will host the call, talking about their favourite book, explaining why it is their favourite book, reading an extract from it and then encourage children to go away and read at the end. These sessions will last 30 minutes.
